Signs for the blessing of water. Blessing of water Properties of holy water

Prosinets is celebrated with the blessing of water. They glorify the Heavenly Svarga - the Host of all Gods. “Pro-shine” means the rebirth of the Sun. The Judeo-Christian “Orthodox” holiday of Epiphany (immersion in water) is a ripped off analogue of the Vedic holiday

Prosinets is the middle of Winter - it is believed that the Cold begins to subside and, at the behest of the gods, the warmth of the sun returns to the Lands of the Slavs.

On this day, they remember and honor God Kryshen - in Vedic Orthodox churches they remember how in ancient times God Kryshen gave fire to people who died from the cold during the Great Glaciation (there was a time when Reality plunged into the greatest glaciation - the Madder cold captured more and more territory, but people have lost the gift of the gods - fire).

Then God Roofs rained magic from the heavenly Svarga onto the Earth Suryu ( Surya or suritsa is a warming honey drink. In fact, this is a honey decoction of herbs fermented in the sun. In fact, it is a great and delicious drink of the gods. There are a lot of recipes, and fierce debates among experts in antiquity flare up on this issue, but the principle is the same for each - it’s honey + herbal decoction + sun + good perfume).
It is generally accepted that on this day Surya flows from Svarga and makes all waters healing, so believers bathe in the blessed waters.

Surya is honey fermented on herbs!
Surya is also the Red Sun!
Surya - Vedas understanding is clear!
Surya is the trace of the Most High!
Surya is the truth of the god Krsna!

On this day, it is customary to swim in cold water, throw feasts, and be sure to consume dairy products in honor of the heavenly cow Zemun. This is a holiday of the glory of Heavenly Svarga - the peace of all Gods. Surya poured onto the Earth on this day makes all waters healing, so believers bathe in the consecrated waters. In the summer (annual) circle of Perun's festivities, this day also corresponds to Perun's victory over the Skipper-beast and the bathing of his sisters Zhiva, Marena and Lelya in the milk river. On this day, the Slavs bathed in cold river water and gave grandiose feasts, which certainly had to include milk and dairy products.

Kryshen is somehow regularly forgotten, and yet he is worthy of mention as, truly, a Hero. He was even born, and not by accident, but with a special great mission - to give people life-giving warmth and great knowledge.

Water Blessing - Vodokres

Pagan water blessing on January 19-20 on the birthday of the Goddess of water and rivers Dana - the feminine principle of the All-World, but this is in a new style, and true Slavic Vodokres January 6- “Winter Turits” - on this day, a spark of Heavenly Fire (Kres) from the Svarozh forge falls into the waters of the Earth, endowing them with miraculous properties and Veles blesses all the waters on this day.

At the Judeo-Christian “Orthodox” baptism on January 19, the water is also sanctified, but it is sanctified only by the power of the blind faith of a million Judeo-Christians, but not by Nature and the Gods. Among the “Orthodox” Judeo-Christians, all natural phenomena are shifted by 14 days and do not correspond to reality (previously they were shifted by 13 days; 12 days...). After all, all Slavic holidays were timed to coincide with certain natural and astronomical phenomena (Novoe Kolo and Christmas Kolyada - on the winter Solstice, Maslenitsa /meeting spring/ - on the Spring Equinox, etc.)

Vodokres - WINTER TURKISH - The holy day that ends Christmastide. It's time when the Gates of Navi close, and the world of Revealing acquires its usual orderliness. At this time, the Spark of Heavenly Fire ( Kresa) from Svarog Forge falls into the waters of the Earth, endowing them with miraculous properties. They also believe that at this time God Veles - the Giver of Health - blesses all earthly waters, so that anyone who bathes in them on this day will be healed of all kinds of ailments
(at the time of dual faith in Rus', on January 6, Jewish Christians celebrated the “Baptism of the Lord” / otherwise called “Epiphany” /, remembering the “baptism” of Yeshua the Mashiach or Jesus / Jesus / in the waters of the Jordan River in Palestine -
hence, during the time of dual faith, came the Semitic name “Jordan” - the ice holes in which the Jewish Christians swam in the so-called. "Epiphany" )
Note: Old Russian word chair means “fire,” so baptism was originally called initiation by fire. Various cleansing rituals were associated with water.

During this period, the Sun is closest to the Earth and begins to rage, fill with young strength, in order to become Yarila after the Great Day on the spring Equinox. At the same time, it influences all the water - Dana, filling it with divine power. Therefore, the Blessing of Water is also called Yar-Dana.
On this day, at the Rodnoverie Temples, as well as on the banks of reservoirs, at specially cut holes in the ice, near wells and sacred springs that do not freeze in winter, the Blessing of Water ritual is performed. Having heated a piece of Svarog iron on a fire, it is solemnly, with appropriate glorification, lowered into water, which, according to popular beliefs, acquires a special Power on this day - it becomes “mighty and powerful,” healing, cleansing the body and soul.

After the completion of the Blessing of Water ritual, all those gathered wash themselves with water or swim in ice holes in order to wash away “all pain and sorrow.” Those who took part in the ritual okrut (dressed in the guise of people from Navi) on Kolyada and during the Veles Christmastide wash away the remnants of the Navi spell that connected them with the world of the Dead.
According to popular beliefs, water blessed at Vodokres is considered clean - sacred, and one should not wash or rinse clothes in it for 12 days. If you sprinkle the yard and house with the water cursed on Vodokres, all evil spirits will avoid them.

Coals from the Sacred Fire lit at the Temple on this day, as well as from the fire in which ritual iron was heated, are kept for a year, considered a miraculous talisman against fire and lightning.
To protect their house from fire, on Vodokres the owners - the eldest man and woman in their clan - walk around the house, holding a bowl of water in their hands, while saying the words:

Veles and Makosh are with me,
They carry a charm with water;
If there is a fire -
They will put out the fire:
Don't burn - once!
Don't burn - two!
Don't burn - three!

While pronouncing these words, they sprinkle water on the house three times, after which they complete the conspiracy:

The spirits of the ancestors stand -
The house is protected from fire!
My word is strong and molding! Goy!

People believe that you cannot take water out of the house on this day - you can take cleanliness with it. There is a legend that to this day Chernobog Himself, turning into a Beggar Wanderer, goes from house to house and asks people for water. Whoever brings out the ladle to Him will give Him His Share along with the water...

A person who has undergone a rite of purification (including “disbaptism”) at Vodokres can forever get rid of all filth, throw off a painful “burden” from the soul and discover for himself a new Path in life leading to Wisdom, Strength and Health, which was bequeathed our Ancestors...

Hail, Mighty Veles!
Glory to our Wise God!
Accept the sacrifice and hear us calling to You!

There is a white island Buyan in the Okiyan Sea,
There stands on that island a damp, spreading oak tree -
The father of all oak trees.
He has sprouted all over Mother Cheese Earth with roots,
And he covered the entire Golden Svarga with branches.
The white-flammable stone Alatyr lies under that Oak -
The father of all stones is the Heart of the World.
Two springs emerge from under the Alatyr stone:
The key of Living water and the key of Dead water -
The share of Zhiva the Light and the share of the Dark Mary.

Come to us, Mighty Veles,
Get on your feet,
Open your bright eyes!
Reveal Your Trimighty Power and Great Wisdom,
Give us living water to drink
Don't drown us in Dead water!

So, laying down your strong word
Under the white-flammable stone Alatyr,
I lock it with golden keys,
I throw those keys into the bottomless Okiyan Sea.
As no one will ever find them,
The white-flammable stone will not eat away,
So no one can overcome this word!

Let it be so! Truly so.
From Kola to Kola!
Glory to Veles! Goy!

Conspiracy at the beginning of the ritual

From seven weeks,
From Heavenly Springs
Come down, Goodness of God,
To our treasure
At the Holy Temple!
The fire is burning here,
Glory thunders here
Here the need rises,
Here the Force leads,
The circle dances,
Grief builds -
From the Native Land
Until Svarga the Golden!
To the Native Gods -
Glory forever! Goy!

Conspiracy to fire

Svarog came out into the wide courtyard - glory!
Svarog called His son - glory!
You come, come to Me, My son - glory!
Come to Me, Honest Svarozhich - glory!
You come to Me, Daring Fire - glory!
How Svarozhich Honest responded to that call - glory!
Svarozhich Honest, Fire Daring - glory!
Svarozhich ascended the oak tree of Krada - glory!
He brought great glory to Father Svarog! Goy!

Kolo Svarog - January holidays

January - aka Szechen (cuts off one circle of years

from another), Perezimye, Stuzhaylo, Prosinets

Vodokres - Vodosvyatiye - Prosinets

Nature is everything that is under God Rod. One of the Laws of Nature is cyclicity. Everything in the world happens according to cycles: day gives way to night, autumn to winter, after death comes birth. Living in rhythm with nature means living according to the laws of the Universe, and living according to the laws of the Universe means being healthy, happy and in abundance, Love and balance.

In the Slavic cycle “Kolo Svarog” we remember the Slavic holidays and tribal traditions and customs that our glorious Ancestors have observed and preserved from time immemorial. Each season has its own character, its own sound and the power of influence in a specific area. A person, living on his land, becomes part of it. The time of year is a manifestation of the specific Power of the Most High Family in the faces of the Native Gods.

From December 25 to January 6 in Rus', people celebrate the Great Veles Christmastide - twelve holy days, symbolizing the twelve months of the year (six dark ones - the dark half of the year, and the other six light ones - the light half of the year), starting with Kolyada (Kolyada itself is not included in Christmas Day) and to Turits. A magical time, when the light of the new Sun is still too weak to disperse the darkness (as it was in the days when Svarog was just forging the Earth’s Firmament), and the Gates connecting Reality and Nav are wide open. This is the time to commemorate our ancestors - our grandfathers, caroling, various fortune-telling, wide public festivities and youth gatherings.

The main winter holidays are Christmastide or Kolyada, which last 12 days after the winter solstice. Previously, the winter solstice (the longest night and shortest day of the year) fell on December 24th. But due to the shift in the movement of the Sun (precession), this date has now shifted astronomically and falls on December 21. Just like the Kupalo holiday moved from June 24 to June 21. Christmastide and Kupalo are tied to the movement of the Sun, therefore they need to be celebrated according to the astronomical calendar, that is, December 21 and June 21. To learn to understand the essence of ancient holidays, you need to focus not on the date, but on the meaning behind this date.

It’s also interesting to see this correlation between the times of Kolyada and Christmastide. Kolyada was born on December 21, but for 3 days, like any newborn, he was not shown to anyone. 25, when the day begins to arrive at the sparrow's leap (for a minute), Kolyada is celebrated, and then the days correspond to the months of the new year: December 26 - January, 27 - February, 28 - March, 29 - April, 30 - May, 31 - June. December 31 is a generous evening, and June is the pinnacle of summer, Kupalo. The rest is in order. Very logical.

January 1 is the day of Ilya Muromets. He was from the village of Karacharova, near the city of Murom. At that time, the Finno-Ugrians, the Murom tribe, lived here (it is known that many local Finno-Ugrians still adhere to the faith of their ancestors, and their neighbors - the Meadow Mari - were never Christians and retained the priesthood). In Russian epics about Ilya Muromets, the image of the hero merged with the image of Perun. In essence, these epics completely preserved the texts of ancient songs about Perun.

On Christmastide it was customary to dress up, that is, to put on outlandish, unusual costumes and masks (masks). First of all, these were costumes and masks of animals: bear, bull, horse, goose, goat, crane, fox, as well as fairy-tale and mythological creatures: kikimora, goblin, brownie, merman. In the same way, people dressed up as an old man and an old woman (the girl dressed up as an old man, and the guy dressed up as an old woman). They glorified with carol songsKolyada, the owners of the house, were congratulated on the New Year, wished happiness, wealth, harmony and goodness. Carolers were presented with specially baked “roes”, “cows”, pies, fruits and money, as well as kutya (for it was believed that in the guise of carolers the souls of their ancestors came to people living in Yavi)It was believed that these rituals would influence the powerful forces of nature and bring a new bountiful harvest next year. Thus, the essence of winter rituals and songs was to ensure a future good harvest, offspring of livestock and a happy family life.

The end of Christmastide, the famous “Epiphany evening,” was considered the most convenient time to question fate. For January spells and fortune-telling associated with sub-bowl songs, special vessels were required for sacred water, into which a golden ring was dipped. Water and gold are attributes of Christmas fortune-telling, just like water and the sun, which provided the ancient Slav with a harvest. There were a great variety of methods of fortune telling - everything could carry signs about the future.

JANUARY 6 - Turitsy
Turitsy are dedicated to the tur, one of the oldest animals revered among the Slavs and possessing magical powers. The tour embodies the union of Veles and Perun for the glory and prosperity of the Slavic Family. The tour patronizes shepherds, guslars and buffoons, valiant prowess, games, dancing and fun, as well as groves and forest animals. In the North, Tur appears as a proud deer, and in the taiga forests as an elk.The ancient Slavs took their example from these formidable animals, who did not take care of themselves in order to protect the herd. They tried to teach the younger generation to defend themselves, to show resourcefulness and perseverance, endurance, courage, the ability to unite to repel enemies, to protect the weak and to find the enemy’s weak point.

On this day, people make fortunes for the entire next year, since the holiday closes the winter holidays. The 12th day of Christmastide corresponds to the 12th month of the year. Fortune telling occurs in the evening, with the onset of darkness. They collect snow to bleach the canvas. Snow collected this evening and thrown into a well can store water for the whole year. For many years, aurochs, wild bulls, served people as a symbol of honor and courage. Cups and horns were made from turk horns, which were blown invitingly during military campaigns, and even bows were made from especially large horns. But Turitsa is also a shepherd’s holiday, at this time the community invites a shepherd to its place for the next season, negotiates with him about work, entrusting him with a precious herd for a long time. The shepherd, the servant of the Veles, puts intoxicating drinks on the common table, and the community - food, and celebrate their agreement with a holiday. From this moment on, the shepherd takes care of the flock, and the tour helps him in this deed. le, protecting young heifers and cows preparing to calve in February from various misfortunes and diseases.

JANUARY 8 - Babi's porridge
On this day it was customary to honor midwives. They were brought generous gifts and treats. They came with their children so that the grandmothers would bless them. Especially on this day, expectant mothers and young girls were recommended to visit their grandmothers. Later, the Orthodox Church began to celebrate the Feast of the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary on this day. The midwife is a distant relative to everyone in the village. The grandmother helped the woman in labor. Knowing the customs of the old days, the grandmother knew her business. In the throes of the woman in labor, she flooded the bathhouse and carried the woman in labor out into the sun. The babbling - the waving - was accomplished with a kind word, kind herbs, kind prayers. By smoking the woman in labor, that is, by lighting a birch splinter and setting fire to wormwood with immortelle grass, the grandmother cared about easy homelands.

This is not a holiday, but an occasion to convey to people, especially young people, ideas about love and fidelity, about treason and betrayal through fairy tales and legends. On this day, they remember how, in the era of Kupala, Veles kidnapped Diva-Dodola, the wife of Perun. During the wedding of Perun and Diva, Veles fell in love with Diva, but he was rejected by her. However, then, carried away by the passion of love, he turned into a spring flower, a lily of the valley, and managed to seduce the goddess of the thunderstorm, the daughter of Dyya. From their connection the spring god Yarilo was born. Also on the Day of Abductions, they remember how, in the Lada era, Marena bewitched Dazhdbog (the God of summer and happiness) and even married him to herself, but the deception was still revealed, Zhiva saved Dazhdbog. And Marena, wanting undivided power, became Koshchei’s wife. From the connection between Koshchei and Marena, the Snow Queen was born. But while Dazhdbog is under the power of Morena’s spell, that is, all winter, the frosts will become more and more severe, and the blizzards will sweep everything around.

If we take only a tiny part of these long stories and legends - about the lily of the valley - this is already very deep knowledge, even on a material level. A beautiful, fragrant, delicate spring flower. A tincture of its berries is a medicine, but the berries can poison you to death. This is a fairy tale with many hints and lessons.

Vodokres - I a bright ancient holiday on the land of our Slavic ancestors - currently causes a lot of disagreements, discrepancies and disputes even among the Slavs. Someone speaks about January 6 (Yardana - Vodosvet, - i.e. on the 12th day of Christmastide after the birth of the new sun), someone - about 19 (when the church celebrates Epiphany), someone - about 21 - Blessing of Water. The most logical date seems to be January 6th. After all, our ancestors lived in harmony with natural cycles, guided not by the decrees of rulers, but by the Sun, which is not subject to any calendars. It is around January 6 that a cosmic phenomenon called PERIHELIUM occurs. On its annual journey around the sun The Earth either flies towards the Sun or flies away from it, because its orbit is slightly elongated. The Earth passes perihelion - the point of the Earth's orbit closest to the Sun - from January 2 to January 6. In 2018, the Earth passed through perihelion at 6 a.m. on January 3.

This is a unique day of the year - it is on this day that all the waters of Mother Earth are consecrated by the Fire of the newborn Sun. A spark of Heavenly Fire (Cross) from the Svarog Forge falls into the waters of the Earth, endowing them with wonderful properties. All negative information that the Earth’s waters have collected over the year is “reset to zero.” The water again becomes pristine, clean, healing... It is on this day that the Water becomes LIGHT, after which it retains its healing properties for a long time. According to customs, it is customary to swim in an ice hole. Another, “softer” way to receive health from Light Water is to scoop up a bucket of river Water and pour it over at home or in a place protected from the wind. Immediately after swimming in the ice hole, you should quickly wipe yourself dry and dress warmly, then continue the holiday with tea drinking with friends. The water at this time is MAGICAL and gives bathers health until Kupala in the summer and the next Yardana - Vodosvet in winter. According to Slavic Vedic knowledge, during Yardana - Blessing of the Water - the Sun, Earth and the center of the Galaxy are located so that a line of communication opens between the heart of our planet and the center Galaxies. There is a special kind of energy channel that structures everything that falls into it in a certain way. All water on Earth (and in us too!) undergoes this structuring. During this period, the Sun is closest to the earth and begins to rage, fill with young strength in order to become Yarila after the Great Day. At the same time, it affects all water - Dana, filling it with divine power. That is why the Blessing of Waters is called Yardana.

It is curious WHO AND WHY is causing confusion in the Rodnoverie by substituting calendars that do not correlate with natural phenomena (for some reason, the Blessing of Waters is on January 19, Kupala, instead of the summer solstice, they are trying to justify July 7 and shifting it by 13 days from the natural calendar).

But we agreed not to argue and not to prove anything to anyone, but to apply in our lives everything that the Heavenly Father, Mother Earth and all the bright forces give for the benefit of the human race - with love and gratitude.

That's why someone has already stocked up on light water Yardany January 3; someone will do it in Baptism January 19, when the powerful human factor also comes into play; someone will add power to Prosinets- Blessing of Water - January 21.

JANUARY 21 - Prosinets
Prosinets- the name of January, it is celebrated blessing of water. They glorify the Heavenly Svarga - the Host of all Gods. “Shine” means the rebirth of the Sun. Prosinets falls in the middle of Winter - it is believed that the Cold begins to subside, and the warmth of the sun returns to the lands of the Slavs at the behest of the gods. On this day in Vedic temples they remember as in ancient times Kryshen gave fire to people who died from the cold during the Great Glaciation. Then he rained the magical Surya from the heavenly Svarga onto the Earth.

Surya is honey fermented on herbs! Surya is also the Red Sun! Surya - Vedas understanding is clear! Surya is the trace of the Most High! Surya - the truth of God Roof! Surya poured onto the earth on this day makes all waters healing, so believers bathe in the blessed waters. In the annual circle of Perun's festivities, this day also corresponds to victory Perun over the Skipper-beast and bathing his sisters Alive, Marens and Lelya in the milk river. On this day, the Slavs bathed in cold river water and gave grandiose feasts, which certainly had to include milk and dairy products. Prosinets- this is the holiday of the beginning of the revival of the Sun and Life, which on January 21 is celebrated with the sacred day - Blessing of Water (VodoKres), also known as “Prosin Den” (Day of Horse), also known as “Day of the Roof” (Roof). So, back in Ancient Times, the Holiday of Water Resurrection or Roofing was perceived by our ancestors as one of the most significant days of the Family, later adopted by Christians as - Baptism.

Over the past 4 years, our active group has already accumulated serious experience in using LIGHT (Epiphany) water to solve a variety of pressing issues.

Recently, when natural and social cataclysms have become especially frequent, when tension around and within us is increasing, the simplest and most effective way to quickly help ourselves and those we want to help has turned out to be an ancient simple and at the same time profound method - charging (structuring) water. Some people use holy water, others have already worked with me when we “charged” the water together. Moreover, we “charged” the water both for the person involved in this process, and for sick relatives and friends, even those in intensive care. The results were consistently positive. This contradicts the guidelines of the Committee on Pseudoscience of the Russian Academy of Sciences, but does not contradict my experience and the experience of those people who did it. I think this experience can be useful to many people, both as first aid to normalize their own condition, and to help others. At the same time, I in no way want to replace or replace official medicine. The practice is based on the achievements of science and folk methods.

1. Tatyana Petrovna, good morning. After yesterday's webinar, the skin on my hands began to heal. In the morning I already felt noticeable relief. The redness has decreased. Thanks a lot!!

2. Since January 19, 2015, my mother has been using water and now I can already say that my sleep has become better, she herself has become so strong that yesterday she took a bath (feet in water with salt) and washed herself - quite easily and well. Over the past weeks, my legs have become as if they had red “socks” (varicose veins, blood flow). Over the weekend we worked with both water and runes - the redness and swelling are almost gone. Thank you for such a comprehensive and comprehensive course of much knowledge that actually helps us every day.

3. Tatyana Petrovna, a three-liter jar was filled for my son at Epiphany, he drank water for three days, I told him how you told us that the information is effective for 3 days. What's happening now? He adheres to thoughtful nutrition, has become more joyful, and is careful in everything.

I listened to her wonderful webinar about Water and, without hesitation, decided to buy her training + personal consultation. I listened to the training itself in one breath at 2 am (there was no talk of sleep) and wrote down a couple of questions for the consultation. Tatyana has extraordinary charisma, the hour-long consultation flew by like 1 minute, and we charged the water for me and my mother, and carried out the cleaning, and she answered so many questions for me that I only had time to write down, and the presentation of information itself was clear , clear, accessible, structured....and in her unusually comfortable energy, all the information came very easily.

5. Water, and in general all the activities with you are wonderful, I miss them so much. After all, my condition has noticeably improved. I became much calmer, I began to think about myself, that I need to start the day with magic water, and it can change a lot, as I had never thought of before. Water is a “doctor”, and a “cleaning assistant”, and a cook, and you can tell her everything. Thank you, Tatyana Petrovna, you are a sorceress. Good luck to you, all the best. See you!!!

6. Happy holiday, Tanyusha, Happy Blessing of the Waters! Thank you for my discovery today: the fact is that cold water really stresses me out, so I don’t like douches and contrast showers. And today I had a wonderful positive experience when I wiped my entire body with snow after a shower. I really liked it! I'm going to continue to practice. Thank you!

7. Tatyana Petrovna, good evening everyone! I’m still on my way home from Vasilyevsky Island. This morning I washed my face with snow, it was very fresh and light (although the sky was cloudy), I scooped up a handful and washed my face and ran it through my hair, it felt like in one movement I washed all my hair and immediately braided it;). More energy! Last night, when I walked along the house under the moonlit path, I really felt my favorite goosebumps;) streaming down my back, and the moon in its halo illuminates the path. Blissful sensations of light in everything. From these sensations I want to help Mother Earth wash her face, comb her hair with strength, braid her braids and remove all the “sticky” (synonym for heavy) energy from herself. As the girl said just now, talking on the phone, “Let your energy go in a peaceful direction”;)

JANUARY 28 - Brownie Day - Velesichi, Kudesy.
On this day, both Veles himself and his army are revered. It tells about the origin of the Velesichs, the heavenly warriors of Veles. But among them there are also those who descended from heaven to Earth and settled among people: these are the spirits of forests, fields, waters and mountains. Those of them who ended up in the forest became goblin, those in the water became water goblins, those in the field became field goblins, and those in the house became brownies. The brownie is a good spirit. Usually he is a zealous owner who helps a friendly family. Sometimes he gets mischievous and plays pranks if he doesn’t like something. He frightens those who do not care about households and livestock.
Kudesy- day of treating the brownie. Brownie - baker, joker, cricket protector. The name of the holiday - kudesy (tambourines) - indicates that our ancestors communicated with the brownie or simply had fun, delighting the ears with music: “Grandfather-next-door! Eat the porridge and take care of our hut! Master-father, accept our porridge! And eat pies - take care of our house! If the grandfather-next-door is left without gifts, then from a kind keeper of the hearth, he will turn into a rather fierce spirit. After dinner, they leave a pot of porridge behind the stove, surrounded by hot coals, so that the porridge does not cool down until midnight, when the brownie comes for dinner. In some areas the holiday is celebrated on February 10th.

Vodokres and VodosvyatieThey celebrated on the street, at the temple, near rivers, lakes and springs. COURSE LEADER - TATIANA SOLOVIOVA

I help people regain their inner simplicity and get rid of artificial difficulties.I have a huge collection of various psychological methods and practices, which I generously share at webinars and consultations. If a person comes to me with a serious matter, he will get results - certainly, tangible, quickly. In other cases, even immediately. But a person himself must put his soul, time, effort, concentration, honesty and optimism into achieving a result. You can only help someone who does something themselves.

I really need things to get done: for me, the criterion of truth is still practice. For a person to come out of his own shell, look at the World anew, and smile anew - maybe for the first time in many years. I like it - to rejoice at your success, for me it is also my own transformation.

For those who have just recently joined us, I offer recordings of past classes at a significant discount. If you start working on them before our current lesson, your success will be no worse than that of those who started earlier.

The Feast of the Epiphany is one of the most ancient Christian holidays. Epiphany, or Epiphany, is celebrated by the Orthodox Church on January 19. On the eve of the holiday, January 18, there is a strict fast.

The establishment of the celebration dates back to the time of the apostles. The ancient name of the holiday is “Epiphany” - phenomenon, or “Theophany” - Epiphany, it was also called “Feast of Lights”, “Holy Lights” or simply “Lights”. For God comes into the world on this day to show the world the Unapproachable Light.

All four Gospels testify to this.
“And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when he came out of the water, John immediately saw the heavens opening and the Spirit like a dove descending on Him. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Mark 1:9-11).

The word “baptize”, “baptize” translated from Greek means “immerse in water.” It is impossible to understand the meaning and importance of baptism without first understanding the symbolic and real meaning of water in the Old Testament. Water is the beginning of life. It is from water fertilized by the life-giving Spirit that all living beings will come into being. Where there is no water, there is a desert. But water can both destroy and destroy - just as God filled sins with the water of the great flood and destroyed human evil.

In memory of the fact that the Savior sanctified water with His Baptism, there is a blessing of water; On the eve of the holiday, water is consecrated in churches, and on the very feast of Epiphany - in rivers or other places where water is taken. The religious procession to the Jordan is a procession to consecrate natural reservoirs.

John's baptism was symbolic and meant that just as the body is washed and cleansed with water, so the soul of a person who repents and believes in the Savior will be cleansed from all sins by Christ. John himself exclaimed: “He who is mightier than I is coming after me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down to untie; I baptized you with water, and He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit” (Mark 1:7-8).

And then Jesus from Nazareth comes to him. John, considering himself unworthy to baptize Jesus, began to restrain Him, saying: “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” But Jesus answered him: “Leave it now; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:14-15).

After the Baptism of Christ, baptism for people is no longer just a symbol of cleansing. Here Jesus revealed Himself to the world as the Christ, the Son of God. “I have seen, I testify: He is the Chosen One of God,” confirms John the Baptist (“Messiah” in Hebrew is the same as “Christ” in Greek, that is, “God’s Anointed One”).

Epiphany revealed to us the great Divine mystery of the Holy Trinity. Now everyone who is baptized joins this mystery, according to the words of Christ to His disciples: “Go, teach all nations, cross them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).

Blessing of water or blessing of water

Blessing of water or water blessing is a church rite in which, with the triple immersion of the cross, with appropriate prayers and chants, the consecration of water is performed by Divine influx.
Blessing of water can be great or small. The Great Blessing of Water is performed twice a year: on the eve of the feast of Epiphany (Epiphany) - after the liturgy or vespers, and on the very day of the feast - after the liturgy. The water consecrated these days is called the great agiasma (Greek “shrine”).
It is consecrated either in special filled containers, or in a river, spring, lake, well, where a solemn religious procession, called the procession to the Jordan, takes place.
At the end of the service, believers consecrate their homes with holy water, sprinkling the walls, doors and windows of all rooms in a cross pattern (with the singing of the troparion of the holiday: “I am baptized in the Jordan, O Lord...”, or the troparion to the Cross: “Save, O Lord, Thy people.. ."), also outbuildings, livestock and poultry; Wells are blessed by adding holy water. On these holidays, you can drink holy water not only on an empty stomach, but also after eating food.
The Lesser Blessing of Water is performed on the day of Mid-Pentecost, the Origin of the Honest Trees of the Life-Giving Cross (August 1/14), on Friday on Bright Week, on the days of temple (throne) holidays, in many churches - weekly on Thursday evening, and also at any time in general. temples, houses, fields and in every place, at the request of the clergy and believers.

27 days have passed since the young sun was born! There is an informative article in the Northern Country about the rhythms of Slavic festivals, and I will tell you about how the red and not yet ardent sun plunges and washes itself in the waters of the earth...

What happens on January 6th?

Let me pass my apple over the saucer and see what the Internet gossip says? Here's what: Veles Day, Blessing of the Waters, Vodokres, Winter Tours - the day when the Navi Gates close (opened during the Veles Christmastide), and the world of Revealing acquires its usual orderliness. The Blessing of Water ends the holidays, which last from the winter solstice until January 6th. The name of the Holiday is Vodokres (Kres* of Water) - literally means the Revival of Water. The day when all the Waters of Mother Earth are consecrated by the sacred fire of the newborn Sun. The negative information that the water has acquired over the year is reset to zero, and the water again becomes pristine, clean, healing...

A spark of Heavenly Fire (Cross) from the Svarog Forge falls into the waters of the Earth, endowing them with magical properties. They also believe that at this time Veles the Prophetic God sends health to people - he blesses all the Earth’s waters, so that everyone who bathes in them on this day will be healed of all kinds of ailments.

There was a belief: if you come to the river on the night of the Blessing of Water and cut an ice hole, the water will boil. On this day, the water in natural reservoirs changes its properties and becomes healing. And then returns to its normal state. On this holiday in Rus' it was the custom to swim in an ice hole, despite the frost. Swimming in such water gives a person vigor, health, and a powerful surge of vitality. According to tradition, the Slavs brought water home and sprinkled it on their house, yard, relatives, and pets, gave it to the sick to drink, and treated wounds.

What happens on January 19?

At this time, direct contact with the Queen of Water is very important. “And there is such an interpretation: Goddess Makosh listened to people’s requests. She was also called Shchedrynia, and, accordingly, the holiday in her honor is Shchedryvka (January 19). In honor of this goddess, songs were sung that praised peace, harmony and love. Ice holes were made on frozen rivers and lakes (so that “Makosh could breathe”) and gifts to the goddess were thrown there (grain, pies, pancakes), and the ice was watered with decoctions of herbs, which meant the imminent onset of spring. After this, the festivities and feasting began.”

For myself, I feel and understand this holiday as follows: Red Sun, our newborn happiness (and happiness for all living things, that the day arrives and calls for warmth, awakens the earth) is bathing in the waters of the earth! Since ancient times, the custom of taking a dip in natural springs and wiping yourself with snow has been preserved. Why not take a dip with the Sun itself?! And water with snow is also collected, as if white fire - water with solar sparks... That is why this holiday has so many names, but the essence is this - the meeting of two primordial forces (water and heavenly fire) and the generous gifts of the Native Gods...

And on these three days, January 18, 19, 20, each of us can bring a piece of white fire into the house and combine it with the fire of the hearth and the flame of the hearts of our loved ones. I’m talking about water collected from natural sources and snow)

Why three days of the Blessing of the Waters? So nature is generous, and we count time from the astronomical solstice, which is why three days of water have miraculous properties. It is difficult to say unambiguously at what moment the healing properties are maximum (research was carried out only on the generally accepted date), so don’t worry if you haven’t met the deadline, and if anything, you can devote all three days to the holiday.

Be sure to reward the source with the ringing of a bell or the melody of an old song, sprinkle grains, and arrive in a good mood! And finally, I’ll show you a photo, I know that such a magical hour comes when our Sun comes out of the waters and rises...that’s why for a short time at sunset on January 19 you can see a column of light or a ray!

I really hope that my photos will help you feel at least a little of this magical moment of the Blessing of the Water.

Let's talk about and h horse Vodokres. Are you going to use Epiphany water this January for your health and well-being? And when? January 6-7 or 18-19? The Vodokres holiday is one of those that our people honor, even if they have forgotten where it all came from and how to do it right. In this article I will tell you about Epiphany water - why, how and when? For good!

The Great Holidays are also determined by the order established by the Creator Rod. The order was called "con". They still say: “This is where the horse of our land came from,” “from the horse, from the horse, from the horse, from the time immemorial, this is how it was done from time immemorial.” And those who violated the law given by the Gods were condemned. So they said: “He is not in our line. Either in or out." That’s why the Vodokres holiday is iconic.

There is a root “cross” in the name of the holiday of the Blessing of Waters. First of all, this word means “Fire,” but not just any fire, but a magical one, against all evil spirits. The Native Gods wield such fire. The word "cross" is a symbol of this divine magical fire. The cross of Svarog is straight, with ends equal in length. The straight cross also symbolizes man and the World Tree. It has always been considered a “male” cross. The Blessing of Water among the Slavs is, first of all, protection by male fiery power.

Straight male cross of Svarog, symbol of Fire.

Water is an element that balances fire and helps to spread what brings with it the combination of masculine and feminine principles. In ancient times, the oblique cross was the sign of the Great Mother Makosh and was considered a feminine sign. Blessing of water among the Slavs in another sense is purification by female water power.

Later (IV millennium BC) this sign began to be considered a sign of fire and was reinterpreted as masculine. The oblique cross has become similar in meaning to a straight cross; in northern embroidery, the combination of a rhombus and a cross has become a symbol of the connection of principles, but the large oblique cross still remains a symbol of Makosh.

What kind of ice hole did the Slavs make for the Blessing of Water?

An eight-pointed star (straight and oblique cross) is a symbol of the union of the masculine and feminine principles that creates life. This is exactly what the ancient cross looked like, which had no relation to Christianity - a combination of straight and oblique crosses. So, the “cross” is a symbol of the heavenly cleansing fire - it is a cleansing and protecting eight-ray sign. This is exactly the kind of ice hole that was cut into the Great Vodokres.

An ancient cross and at the same time the shape of an ancient ice hole on the Vodokres holiday.

The holiday of the Blessing of Water among the Slavs begins with Kolyada

So we are approaching the meaning of the holiday, which carries the name “Vodokres” or “Blessing of Water”. But few people know that the Blessing of Water takes place more than once in the month of January. Let's look at everything through the customs of ancient times that existed in our northern land.

The holidays were all according to the Sun - and they kept track of time according to the breaks of the Sun. On December 21 or 22, Kolyada came, the Magi performed great magical rites, and the rest of the people began the holiday when the Sun came out “at a sparrow’s leap,” on December 25.

From this time on, Veles's Christmastide began, 12 days for fortune-telling about the well-being of the next summer. According to current calculations, With December 25 to January 6. These days, Veles, the God of Wisdom and Magic, kept the gates of Navi open so that people could turn to their Naval Ancestors and ask for their blessings.

How to contact the Ancestors on this holiday?

To call the Grandfathers, they opened the doors and placed fresh food on the altar, in front of the Churami of the Gods and Ancestors. It was customary to show that living relatives remember their grandfathers and regret their absence. This was done in order to call the Spirits of the Ancestors into Reality. The rest of the time, the northerners did not indulge in grief over the departed. What is there to regret? Death to the evil and eternal memory to the good. The grandfather's soul will return to the family and will be incarnated in great-grandchildren!

Calls to parents on holy days:

Our dear fathers and mothers! Have we somehow angered you, dear ones, that there is no greeting from you, no joy, no parental affection? You, the sun, the clear sun! You rise, rise from midnight, you illuminate all the graves with a joyful light, so that our dead do not sit in darkness, do not grieve with misfortune, do not live in longing. You are a clear month! You rise, rise from the evening, you illuminate all the graves with a joyful light, so that our dead do not destroy their zealous hearts in the darkness, do not grieve in the darkness for the white light, do not shed burning tears in the darkness for our dear children. You, the wind, the wind is violent! You wail, wail from midnight, you bring joyful news to our dead, that all the relatives lamented for them in grief, that all the children were pining for them in grief, that all the brides-in-law were saddened for them.

Together with the Navi Ancestors, black Navi come from Dark Navi - the Souls of the hostage dead, touched by the breath of Chaos. They are dangerous for the living, because they cause illness and misfortune. So they call these days “terrible”. But if there was a beginning, there would be an end. After 12 Veles days, our Grandfathers fly away like birds back to Nav, and Veles closes the passage.

Small Vodokres January 6 - the first Blessing of Water among the Slavs

And then this happens: Svarog, the Heavenly Father, at that moment hits the Alatyr-stone with a hammer, a spark of the male heavenly Fire-Cross falls to the ground in the water. And the Little Water Crescent comes on Earth on January 6, according to a new calculation - water changes its properties and becomes “mighty and powerful.” Properties saved from 6 pm to noon the next day.

Black Navya find themselves locked in Yavi because they cannot return “down the river” to their home. Here they will remain until January 19, losing strength and their ability to cause harm every day.

First Blessing of Water - water acquires protective properties from the blow of the hammer of God Svarog

Small Vodokres - the first Blessing of Water among the Slavs, was celebrated by the northern people like this. On this day, each family observed strict moderation in food until midnight. After the houses brought praise to the Ancestors in the afternoon and asked them to fly back, the holiday continued at some source, on a lake, or, in the absence of such, near a well.

First of all, having heated a piece of Svarog iron on a fire, glorifying Svarog, they lower it into the ice hole, then they bathe, wash off “all the pains and sorrows” and take the water with them in order to sprinkle the house, yard, relatives, and pets , give a drink to the sick.

Returning home after the Little Vodokres, the inhabitants of the northern country drank a few sips of Svarog water, and then, with the help of birch brooms, stored since the time of Kupalo, they sprinkled the entire house, outbuildings, and property with it in order to protect the household from trouble and the evil eye.

It was customary on this day to pour the brought water into the well so that unclean dark Navyas could not get into it and would not take water until the big Water Resurrection on January 19th.

The same water was used to treat the sick and heal wounds. Svarozh water drawn from an ice-hole was believed to especially help screaming women, but on the condition that the one who took the water, walking from the ice-hole, would pronounce praises to the Gods and would not turn back.

This clean water was stored in this way: next to the vessels they lit candles with nauses tied to them, into which they wove their aspirations with spells.

And then came the Great Water Resurrection on January 19 - the second Blessing of Water among the Slavs

By that time, the black Navyas (later they were called demons, and under Christianity devils), locked in Yavi, were deprived of their last strength. This is also used by sorcerers - people who call upon black navi for evil deeds. And there are such people in the northern country, you can’t go against the truth. The sorcerers, receiving their power from Chaos, are doomed, as everyone knew, after their death to turn into snakes supporting the pillars of the last roof of Navi. That is why sorcerers held on to their lives, sometimes drinking the strength and blood of other people in order to prolong their youth. And they died long and painfully, trying to pass on their curse to someone living and go to Nav as ordinary mortals. Therefore, by that time the Navyas were weak, and the sorcerers were strong, taking their power upon themselves.

The Great Water Recession, the second Blessing of Water among the Slavs, was always carried out extremely solemnly. This holiday marked the end of days marked by a special rampant of “evil spirits.” At the same time, everyone was preparing to protect themselves from possible troubles. Cleansing has always had a precautionary nature, so Vodokres on January 19 was needed as protection for the future. Properties of water valid from 6 p.m. January 18 until noon the next day.

How to prepare for the holiday?

Preparations for the holiday began the day before: the huts were washed and the rubbish was carefully swept away, in which, according to legend, an imp could hide. They believed that in the morning before Vodokres all the “imps” should drown.

The preparation for the Feast of the Vodokres included a strict fast the day before the first “evening” star, the elderly people completely abstained from food and performed glorification to the Native Gods. Even children and teenagers tried not to eat anything.

An ice hole was set up outdoors on the ice of the river - ice in January in a northern country would surprise no one. The Magi cut a hole in the form of an eight-pointed cross ahead of time.

The Slavs went to swim in the Great Vodokres - the second Blessing of Water - together, and not just as separate families. There were large groups of people giving birth, grown men and women. They took care of the youth and left them at home. The road for this move was covered with straw, and on the sides it was decorated with the tops of young fir trees - the sacred tree of the Goddess Makosh. Because the time from the small Vodokres to the Great Vodokres was in the power of this Goddess of magic and fate. All the fortune-telling that people performed at this time was dedicated to her, the Lady of the hidden threads.

Time of the Goddess Makosh - purification of water on the second holiday of the Blessing of Waters

It was exactly twelve days after the Little Vodokres that Makosh hit the Alatyr stone with her spindle crosswise. Sparks of the fire of the feminine principle again fell on open reservoirs, securing the male cross of Svarog and making the water not only healing, but also protecting from evil spirits.

Second Blessing of Water - water acquires cleansing properties from the wave of the spindle of the Goddess Makosh

Until recently, almost everyone knew this, but now they have forgotten. Although in books of the 19th century you can read this:

At the end of the Vodokres ritual, the peasants dismantled both the straw and the fir trees and took them to the barnyards in order to protect the livestock from diseases, spoilage, from the influence of “volkhits” (witches) and the harmful actions of the “cattle neighbor,” that is, the yard. (Makarenko A.A., p.43).

Here, to the ice hole, cattle were brought, which were sprinkled with water blessed in the river. In some places it was considered correct to arrive on horseback, rather than to arrive. According to explanations, this was done to “sanctify” the cattle in order to protect them from diseases and from the damage of sorcerers and witches: “/.../ Of course, you can’t drive a horse into the river, because the water is very cold, so let him at least walk on the ice and protect himself . (Maksimov S.V., p.280-281).

Sprinkling of buildings with holy water on the eve and day of the holiday was also done in order to drive out the holy evil spirits, which have their own names in different localities, from everywhere.

So, in the Vologda province, holy water is used from houses, barns, baths, etc. kicked out the Sholyshnov. In the Irkutsk province, shulyupan demons were crushed under the hooves of horses competing in horse riding at an ice hole during the great blessing of water. Similarly, in some areas, evil spirits were cast out on the night before Epiphany:

/…/ a crowd of young guys on horseback rushes through all the courtyards, beating with brooms and whips in all the dark corners and crannies with incantations, shouting and squealing. (Stepanov N.P., 1899, p. 18).

All this was done for the purpose of protection, because in the Great Vodokres all sorcerers are especially dangerous, since they are alarmed by the Vodokres and therefore rush around everywhere. In some places it was believed that if you did not protect the cattle that evening by sprinkling it and shielding it with divine water, then the unclean one would severely torment the cattle, and the next morning it would be covered in soap and sweat.

Festive dinner for the Blessing of the Waters

The festive dinner on the day of the Blessing of the Water was called “hungry kutia”. The obligatory dishes of this meal were kutia, pancakes, and oatmeal jelly. Pancakes at Vodokres were placed in the barn for the yard in order to ensure the well-being of the livestock.

In the old calendar, the day of the Blessing of the Water was one of the most important holidays at the beginning of the year, interpreted in the mythological consciousness as a boundary beyond which the world created during Christmas time acquired qualitatively new characteristics: clarity, orderliness, stability, etc. From this holiday, everything fell into place: a kind of new countdown of time began, the borders between “worlds” were closed, people’s contact with the “other” world ceased, and they returned to their usual course of life.

The water received on this day was saved and used for healing, and some for magic. Thus, the holiday of the Blessing of Water among the Slavs closed a series of significant days in Kologda.

Now you know about the two holidays of the Blessing of Water!
